Neville Cook
Chairman
Neville’s appointment to the Board represents the continuation of the Cook Family legacy, having been involved with retirement communities throughout his life. Neville is responsible for all the Cook Family’s aged care and property investments. Neville was previously Development Director of LifeCare Residences and successfully delivered flagship assets Remuera Rise in NZ and Battersea Place in London. Prior to this, he worked for several years in NZ for high-end hotel and apartment developers.
Daniel Cook
Managing Director
Daniel has primary responsibility for LifeCare Residences in the United Kingdom. He is the Nominated Individual for LifeCare Residences’ CQC Regulated Services and leads the investment and growth strategy in the UK. Daniel has a strong background in operational real estate and corporate finance, with experience consulting in both private and public sectors for Deloitte where he advised on financial and strategic matters, including tax, accounting, corporate finance, and operations.
Alan Edwards
Non-Executive Director
Alan is a Professional Director, Investor and Leader in the Retirement Village and Aged Care Sector in New Zealand. Within the Lifecare Residences family, he is the Chairman of Lifecare Residences (NZ) Limited and Deputy Chairman of Renaissance Holdings (NZ) Limited, the parent company. He is also directly invested in two new villages growing in Auckland (The Botanic) and Christchurch (The Sterling). Formerly, Alan was the Chief Executive of Metlifecare Limited and brings experience across governance, operations, sales, marketing and financial management.
Gary Heather
Executive Director
Gary joined LifeCare Residences as Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for leading operations across the UK’s retirement villages and care homes for nearly four years. He was subsequently appointed to the Board as Executive Director and now strategically leads the sales, marketing, and operational functions. Before joining LifeCare, Gary gained significant expertise in people management, resourcing and employee relations across various sectors, including retail and hospitality.

It’s like a mini Hampton Court Palace
I tell my friends it’s so lovely – everyone is so friendly and relaxed. With the stunning Elizabethan manor house steeped in history – it’s like a mini Hampton Court Palace and impressive drive with 27 acres of gardens. I just love the social time with activities, craft, bridge, croquet, mini golf, boules, skittles, film shows, outings, and wonderful themed events, plus the choir and art classes and a well-stocked library. The entire team here at Grove Place are all so friendly and cheerful and ready to have a chat. You know your family can relax in the knowledge that you would be looked after. The Manor House Restaurant is simply wonderful. Every meal is beautifully presented, at very reasonable prices, and everything is put on a monthly bill so there is no need to carry any money (it is a bit like being on a cruise ship)!Linda Rush

For me it has been the best decision I have made
I came to Battersea Place attracted to it being a retirement village but with independent living, having care available as needed at a later stage. I felt it took away any pressures my family might have and stop them worrying about me. I was able to come with my dog, and with Battersea Park just over the road, it has been easy for me to go for walks with her. I used to worry if I had a fall, my beloved daughter would have to travel down to London from Warwickshire, and I didn’t want that for her. I wanted her to feel that wherever I was, I was self-sufficient. I don’t want for anything now. The staff are lovely – they are there to help you and they really do – they are wonderful. I stayed at Albert Suites for a week post-operatively and I am extremely grateful for the care and attention I received whilst there. Grove Place is so welcoming and full of warmth. When you walk into the reception area in the morning, the concierge is always there to greet you. The friendliness of the staff shows you that you are wanted and important. If you could bottle whatever it is that Grove Place has, you would make a fortune. I would seriously advise people move here while they are still young enough to enjoy everything that is on offer.
